The Photo Collection of Paul Siebertz
Albania in 1909
The German journalist and author, Paul Siebertz (1877-1954), was editor-in-chief of Das Vaterland (The Fatherland), “newspaper for the Austrian monarchy” published in Vienna from 1907-1911, and was the author of a number of book publications. In 1909, he undertook a trip through the mountains of northern Albania and soon thereafter published the volume Albanien und die Albanesen: Landschafts- und Charakterbilder (Albania and the Albanians: Landscape and Character Pictures), Vienna 1910, from which the present photo collection is taken. Most of his pictures, probably all of them, were taken from other sources.

Gazetari dhe autori gjerman, Paul Ziberc (1877-1954), ishte kryeredaktori i gazetës vjeneze Das Vaterland (Atdheu), „gazeta për monarkinë austriake“, e cila botohej në kryeqytetin austro-hungarez gjatë viteve 1907-1911. Ishte edhe autor i disa librave. Në vitin 1909, Ziberci ndërmori një ekspeditë në malet e Shqipërisë së Veriut, në bazë të së cilës botoi librin Albanien und die Albanesen: Landschafts- und Charakterbilder (Shqipëria dhe shqiptarët: peizazhe dhe karaktere), Vjenë 1910. Nga ky libër është marrë koleksioni i mëposhtëm me fotografi. Disa fotografi të Zibercit, ose të gjitha, janë marrë nga burime të tjera.
